Step 1: Recognizing milk allergy symptoms
When your baby’s symptoms are not recognized they can be miserable and sometimes
malnourished for weeks or months before getting proper diagnosis and treatment.
Babies with a milk allergy cannot digest the complex protein chains found in regular
formula. This allergic reaction causes an array of symptoms. Your baby
may have only one symptom or could have several.
The most common symptoms include:
- Persistent diarrhea
- Blood and/or mucus in the stool
- Frequent vomiting
- Skin rash
- Respiratory problems
- Inconsolable crying
- Poor weight gain
Now that you are aware of the common milk allergy symptoms, you are ready for Step 2.
